I Love Music
Hello to all!
I hope everyone had a great Father's Day! We had a nice one, relaxing & quiet. My husband says, just the way he likes them ! This is a sweet little card that I created in the vintage, collage style I love so much. it reminds me of spring, of the birds singing a symphony in my backyard in the early mornings; of the gentle breeze ruffling the leaves in the trees. In the buzz of the bees as they go about their work gathering nectar and pollen from the Hollyhocks and Lantana in my garden. There is music everywhere! you just have to listen! Have a wonderful day! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Song Bird vintage card
Happy Wedensday!
The sun is shining, popping in and out between the clouds. It sprinkled this morning, just a little. I like it when it rains for a little while, and then the sun comes out. Everything is so fresh after, cleansed by the rain. the birds come flying to the feeder. chirping and chattering away, hungry after their breakfast having been delayed by the inconsiderate cloudburst.
I love being out in my back yard in the early morning. everything is so peaceful and still. just the birds and my dogs to keep me company while I have my morning coffee.
I guess this may have been what inspired me to make this card. the colors are calming to me. black and white always make everything you put with it pop. I used the* Song Bird* set from TJ Designs (Tweety Jill) It has quickly become a favorite of mine I find that I turn to it again and again. I just love all the images in this set.
I started off with Ivory card stock, (Stampin' Up), used Rasberry Tart DSP (SU) for the background and scalloped trim at the bottom. The scallop is the new eyelet border punch from SU! I like it alot and find that I use it all the time. Then I cut a slightly smaller piece out of black cs, and a smaller piece yet ( just a tiny bit) of Pink Pirouette cs (SU!) I am going to miss this paper! I stamped the Pink Pirouette cs (SU!) with the sheet music stamp ( all night media/ Anna Giffin)
I cut out two "Top Note" die cuts using my *Big Shot* all from SU! I trimmed the toile top note around the edges, right at the perforated edge , to make it a teensy bit smaller than the black one. This gives it a nice border and really makes it pop. I glittered all around the edge of the Pink cs using my glass glitter from Goldbug Studio. The Song Bird banner and the little bird are from the above mentioned *Song Bird* set. I free handed the banner , and using my 1" 3/8 & 1" 1/4 circle punches (SU!) punched the little bird out after Istamped her on the paper. I distressed the edges with Vintage distress ink (Ranger) added a lttle more glitter around the circle and banner portion. the buttons and ribbon are from my stash. Oh, and I almost forgot, tiny little pink sparkles from Wal-Mart.
There you have it! " My Song Bird" vintage card. Be sure to check out my Etsy shop, Song Bird Vintage & Arts, and Junebug 658 . I'll have some of my cards for sale and some vintage and altered items too!
Thanks for stopping By!
Hugs,
Heidi
